ave the cd rom 'Judge Dredd' which says "DOS PRODUCT
works with windows 95 in DOS real mode" ive tryed
everything the XP help says but it all that ive already
tried, this is the only disk i have thats like this,
others (thru windows) have not worked either. and spending
over half an hour to get to this typing poing is bloody

The DOS feature aint always working in windows XP..
I have some games to that i cant play..
To play it use an old Windows 78/86/92/95/98/me/nt/ok computer and run it in DOS mode..

Although there isn't any "DOS" in Windows XP, you can emulate it. Keep in
mind, not all DOS games will run on Windows XP, though. Look into
Compatibility Mode in Help and Support, and also do a Search in H&S for
"PIF." This is for Program Information File, and H&S will lead you through
editing the game's PIF so it believes it is getting XMS or EMS memory
support. You could also do a search in this newsgroup, because this
specific area has been covered numerous times. Search for "DOS" without the
quotes. You'll even find help on getting sound to work in the games.

XP does not come with DOS, you need to install an older version of
Windows to run it. You will probably need Partition Magic 7 to
re-partition your Hard disk, install Windows 98 on primary DOS
partition, then you can run Dredd
